Wake Up People! Medical Fascism May Be Headed Your Way.

The spirit of Senator Ted Kennedy lives on and the U.S. appears to be headed into medical fascism with Massachusetts leading the way. This comes with the passage of state Bill 2028, commonly referred to as the “Pandemic Response Bill”, which is awaiting approval in the House.

Bill 2028 suspends virtually all Constitutional rights of Massachusetts citizens. It forces anyone “suspected” of being infected to submit to interrogations, “decontaminations” and vaccines. It’s also sets fines up to $1,000 per day and possible imprisonment for anyone refusing to submit to quarantines, vaccinations, decontamination efforts or to follow any other verbal order by virtually any state-licensed law enforcement or medical personnel.

Violation of 4th Amendment:Illegal search and seizure:

”During either type of declared emergency, a local public health authority…may exercise authority…to require the owner or occupier of premises to permit entry into and investigation of the premises; to close, direct, and compel the evacuation of, or to decontaminate or cause to be decontaminated any building or facility; to destroy any material; to restrict or prohibit assemblages of persons…”

Violation of 14th Amendment: Arresting people without a warrant:

”…an officer authorized to serve criminal process may arrest without a warrant any person whom the officer has probable cause to believe has violated an order given to effectuate the purposes of this subsection and shall use reasonable diligence to enforce such order…”

Government price controls:

”The attorney general, in consultation with the office of consumer affairs and business regulation, and upon the declaration by the governor that a supply emergency exists, shall take appropriate action to ensure that no person shall sell a product or service that is at a price that unreasonably exceeds the price charged before the emergency.”

"Involuntary Transportation" (also known as kidnapping):

”Law enforcement authorities, upon order of the commissioner or his agent or at the request of a local public health authority pursuant to such order, shall assist emergency medical technicians or other appropriate medical personnel in the involuntary transportation of such person to the tuberculosis treatment center.”

Fine /imprisonment without a jury trial:

”Any person who knowingly violates an order, as to which noncompliance poses a serious danger to public health as determined by the commissioner or the local public health authority, shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than 30 days or a fine of not more than one thousand dollars per day that the violation continues, or both.”

Forced vaccinations:

”Furthermore, when the commissioner or a local public health authority within its jurisdiction determines that either or both of the following measures are necessary to prevent a serious danger to the public health the commissioner or local public health authority may exercise the following authority: (1) to vaccinate or provide precautionary prophylaxis to individuals as protection against communicable disease…”

Forced quarantine (or internment):

”An individual who is unable or unwilling to submit to vaccination or treatment shall not be required to submit to such procedures but may be isolated or quarantined pursuant to section 96 of chapter 111 if his or her refusal poses a serious danger to public health or results in uncertainty whether he or she has been exposed to or is infected with a disease or condition that poses a serious danger to public health, as determined by the commissioner, or a local public health authority operating within its jurisdiction.”

Arrest for refusal to be "decontaminated:"

"If an individual is unable or unwilling to submit to decontamination or procedures necessary for diagnosis, the decontamination or diagnosis procedures may proceed only pursuant to an order of the superior court... During the time necessary to obtain such court order, such individual may be isolated or quarantined pursuant to section 96 of chapter 111 if his or her refusal to submit to decontamination or diagnosis procedures poses a serious danger to public health or results in uncertainty whether he or she has been exposed to or is infected with a disease or condition that poses a serious danger to public health."

Nevada Sen. Harry Reid says he backs a change in Massachusetts law to allow the governor to appoint a temporary replacement for the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy. With so many important issues at stake, Reid says the state needs two senators until a special election can be held.

Can Nevada be far behind?
What of Indiana? I believe for now we here in the Hoosier state have a more sensible and more firmly rooted legislature in place. yet, after the recent antics of Rep. Baron Hill and the complete lack of attention, (for Indiana anyway), by Senator Richard Lugar I may be wrong.

In a "what if" scenario, what should you do if you have to or are forced to take the H1N1 vaccine?

1. Number one on the list, is to bring a cold pack with you and place it on the site of the injection as soon as you can, as this will block the immune reaction. Once you get home, continue using a cold pack throughout the day. If you continue to have immune reactions the following day, have cold showers and continue with the cold press.

2. Take fish oil. Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), one of the omega 3 fatty acids found in fish oil supplements, is a potent immune suppressant. If you take high dose EPA you will be more susceptible to infections, because it is a powerful immune suppressant. However, in the case of an immune adjuvant reaction, you want to reduce it. Studies show that if you take EPA oil one hour before injecting a very powerful adjuvant called lipopolysaccharide (LPS), it would completely block the ability of the LPS to cause brain inflammation. Take a moderate dose everyday and more if needed to tame a cytokine storm.

3. Flavonoids are third on the list, namely curcumin, quercetin, ferulic acid and ellagic acid, particularly in a mixture. The curcumin and quercetin in particular have been found to block the ability of the adjuvants to trigger a long-term immune reaction. If you take it an hour before the vaccination, it should help dampen the immune reactions.

4. Vitamin E, the natural form that is high in gamma-E will help dampen the immune reactions and reduces several of the inflammatory cytokines.

5. An important ingredient on the list is Vitamin C at a dose of 1000 mg, taken four times a day between meals. It is a very potent anti-inflammatory and should be taken in a buffered form, not as absorbic acid.

6. Also use astaxanthin as it’s an anti-inflammatory. Fatal reactions to vaccines in aboriginal and African children occurred in those who were deficient in carotinoids, like astaxanthin. It is a good protection against the toxic effects of the vaccine.

7. Likewise, it was found that children who were deficient in zinc had a high mortality rate. Zinc is very protective against vaccine toxicity. (Do not use zinc mixed with copper however, as copper is a major trigger of free-radical generation).

8. Ensure you avoid all immune-stimulating supplements, such as mushroom extracts, whey protein and beta-glucan.

9. Take a multivitamin-mineral daily one that does not contain iron. This multivitamin-mineral is to make sure your body has plenty of B vitamins and selenium. Selenium is very important for fighting viral infections and it reduces the inflammatory response to vaccines.

10. Magnesium citrate/malate 500 mg of elemental magnesium two capsules, three times a day.

11. What is very important is vitamin D3, which is the only ‘vitamin’ the body can manufacture from sunlight (UVB). It is a neural hormone, not really a vitamin and helps if you are over-reacting immunologically by cooling down the reaction. Similarly, if you are under-reacting, it helps to boost your immune response. In addition it also protects against microorganism invasion.

Black people and those in colder climates are particularly deficient, so they will almost certainly require supplementation.

It is recommended that following vaccination it will help to keep the immune reaction under control if:

i) All children get 5,000 units a day for two weeks after the vaccine and then 2,000 a units a day thereafter;

ii) Adults get 20,000 units a day after the vaccine for two weeks, then 10,000 units a day thereafter;

iii) And with that adults should take 500-1000 mg of calcium a day and children under the age of 12 years should take 250 mg a day, as vitamin D works more efficiently in the presence of calcium.

12. Ensure you avoid all mercury-containing seafood or any other sources of mercury, as the heavy metal is a very powerful inducer of autoimmunity, is known to make people more susceptible to viral infections and will be in H1N1 vaccines.

13. Avoid the oils that significantly suppress immunity and increase inflammation – such as corn, safflower, sunflower, soybean, canola and peanut oils.

14. Drink very concentrated white tea at least four times a day. It helps to prevent abnormal immune reactions.

15. Pop parsley and celery in a blender and drink 8 ounces of this mixture twice a day. Parsley is very high in a flavonoid called apigenin and that celery is high in luteolin. Both are very potent in inhibiting autoimmune diseases, particularly the apigenin, so go and plant some parsley in your garden now.

Scenario 1:
Jack goes quail hunting before school and then pulls into the school parking lot with his shotgun in his truck's gun rack.
1977 - Vice Principal comes over, looks at Jack's shotgun, goes to his car and gets his shotgun to show Jack.
2007 - School goes into lock down, FBI called, Jack hauled off to jail and never sees his truck or gun again. Counselors called in for traumatized students and teachers.

Scenario 2:
Johnny and Mark get into a fist fight after school.
1977 - Crowd gathers. Mark wins. Johnny and Mark shake hands and end up buddies.
2007 - Police called and SWAT team arrives -- they arrest both Johnny and Mark. They are both charged them with assault and both expelled even though Johnny started it.

Scenario 3:
Jeffrey will not be still in class, he disrupts other students.
1977 - Jeffrey sent to the Principal's office and given a good paddling by the Principal. He then returns to class, sits still and does not disrupt class again.
2007 - Jeffrey is given huge doses of Ritalin. He becomes a zombie. He is then tested for ADD. The school gets extra money from the state because Jeffrey has a disability.

Scenario 4:
Billy breaks a window in his neighbor's car and his Dad gives him a whipping with his belt.
1977 - Billy is more careful next time, grows up normal, goes to college and becomes a successful businessman.
2007 - Billy's dad is arrested for child abuse. Billy is removed to foster care and joins a gang. The state psychologist is told by Billy's sister that she remembers being abused herself and their dad goes to prison. Billy's mom has an affair with the psychologist.

Scenario 5:
Mark gets a headache and takes some aspirin to school.
1977 - Mark shares his aspirin with the Principal out on the smoking dock.
2007 - The police are called and Mark is expelled from school for drug violations. His car is then searched for drugs and weapons.

Scenario 6:
Pedro fails high school English.
1977 - Pedro goes to summer school, passes English and goes to college.
2007 - Pedro's cause is taken up by state. Newspaper articles appear nationally explaining that teaching English as a requirement for graduation is racist. ACLU files class action lawsuit against the state school system and Pedro's English teacher. English is then banned from core curriculum. Pedro is given his diploma anyway but ends up mowing lawns for a living because he cannot speak English.

Scenario 7:
Johnny takes apart leftover firecrackers from the Fourth of July, puts them in a model airplane paint bottle and blows up a red ant bed.
1977 - Ants die.
2007 - ATF, Homeland Security and the FBI are all called. Johnny is charged with domestic terrorism. The FBI investigates his parents -- and all siblings are removed from their home and all computers are confiscated. Johnny's dad is placed on a terror watch list and is never allowed to fly again.

Scenario 8:
Johnny falls while running during recess and scrapes his knee. He is found crying by his teacher, Mary. Mary hugs him to comfort him.
1977 - In a short time, Johnny feels better and goes on playing.
2007 - Mary is accused of being a sexual predator and loses her job. She faces 3 years in State Prison. Johnny undergoes 5 years of therapy.

If this doesn't show you how daft we as a country have become then the nation isn't the only thing needing serious help.

A Little Bitty Tear:

Puff (The Magic Dragon):

I tried several times to get thru this song without choking up. Just couldn't do it. Peter, Paul & Mary and this song have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. When you are 4 and someone is singing a song about a dragon who will be a little boys friend...WOW. As I've grown older the song has been one that can always take me back to a place in my mind where I can be a little boy waiting for his dragon friend.

Thank you SO very much Mary Travers for what you gave me in my life. Requisite in pacem.

L’shanah tovah

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year (literally “head of the year”), is a Biblical holiday that occurs on the first and second of Tishri (September or October). Rosh Hashanah is the day that God created man. Rosh Hashanah is a time to begin introspection, looking back at the mistakes of the past year and planning the changes to make in the new year.
The Bible refers to the holiday as Yom Ha-Zikkaron (the day of remembrance) or Yom Teruah (the day of the sounding of the shofar). The holiday is instituted in Leviticus 23:24-25. No work is permitted on Rosh Hashanah. Much of the day is spent in synagogue. where the regular daily prayers are expanded. There is a special prayer book called the Machzor used for Rosh Hashanah. Religious services for the holiday focus on the concept of God’s sovereignty.
Another popular observance during this holiday is eating apples dipped in honey, a symbol of our wish for a sweet new year. Another popular practice of the holiday is Tashlikh (”casting off”). We walk to flowing water, such as a creek or river, on the afternoon of the first day and empty our pockets into the river (generally this means casting bread into the water), symbolically casting off our sins.
The common greeting at this time is L’shanah tovah (”for a good year”). This is a shortening of “L’shanah tovah tikatev v’taihatem” (or to women, “L’shanah tovah tikatevi v’taihatemi”), which means “May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year.”

Candles are lit and blessings are said on the first night and the second night in order to help usher in the Holy Day. Kiddush (blessing over wine/grape juice) is said as well as the blessing over the challah (braided bread). Slices of the challah and apple slices are dipped in honey, representing sweetness and hope for the new year.

Wanted to also share a wonderful recipe that is appropriate for the day.

Spiced String Beans

3 pounds fresh string beans
2 tsps. Salt
¼ cup oil
¼ tsp. turmeric
½ tsp. cumin
¼ cup water

Wash and trim beans. Put all ingredients into a 3-quart saucepan and mix well. Cook, covered on a small flame for 30 minutes. Serve warm or cold.

NOTE: do not substitute or omit spices.

USE: 3-quart saucepan
YIELDS: 8 to 10 servings

My offerings today for music are drawn from the Jewish culture. I hope they will be appropriate.

Happy Constitution Day!

Every September 17 is Constitution Day, when America celebrates the important day—now 222 years ago—when the framers of the Constitution signed the document that has endured (more or less) as the longest-living constitution in the world. But you wouldn’t know it by looking at the Chief Executive’s website.

I’ve searched the White House’s website for at least a “hat tip” in honor of today. Instead, I found on the WH site Barack Obama’s full-court press on the health care plan that would further extend the power of the federal government beyond the boundaries set in the Constitution. Appropriate, then, that he has neglected to give lip service to the Constitution because he is too busy campaigning for another unconstitutional power grab that subverts the “supreme law of the land.”

Of course, the blame for unconstitutional government programs must be checked and balanced against the two other branches of government. Congress, particularly this one, is usually all to eager to overleap its delegated powers, especially when it can buy reelection votes. The judiciary, too, has for decades believed its own propaganda and has set itself up as sole interpreters and gatekeepers to the Constitution.

It is easy to sling these accusations around, however, without remember who is ultimately responsible for the safekeeping of the United States Constitution (and those of every state, too). Hint: it is the same body that ratified it. We the People (not the States, not the Framers, and certainly not the Judges). We the People ratified the Constitution and, with the exception of a few amendments, have largely left it intact. It was so good when it was drafted that it needed only a few adjustments along the way.

But along that way We the People have forgotten our role in this Constitution. We are the ultimate “check and balance” on our leaders when they have violated our Constitution and yet we have largely left it up to them to determine when they have violated it. The fox is free in the henhouse and we are occasionally shouting through the chicken wire, reminding it to not eat too many chickens too fast.

It is not time for the federal government to take ownership of America’s automobile manufacturers, financial institutions, and health care system. It is time, rather, for We the People to take ownership of our Constitution again. We cannot expect our elected and appointed leaders to take it seriously when we do not do so ourselves.

How do we take our Constitution seriously? First, we need to read and understand it. (Click on the image to the left, for starters.) Three years after the first “Constitution Day,” James Wilson, signer of the Declaration and the Constitution, U.S. Supreme Court Justice, and Law Professor, spoke of the virtues of American character, including the “love of liberty, and the love of law.” Wilson went on:

“But law and liberty cannot rationally become the objects of our love, unless they first become the objects of our knowledge.”

Wilson explained that we must know the Constitution before we can expect to love it. So our first job as American citizens is to know our Constitution; the love of the Constitution usually follows.

Second, and just as important, is our duty to pass along what we have learned. The American principles of liberty, law, and religious freedom are largely taught not caught. We must pass along the knowledge of the Constitution and why it was written the way it was to our children and also to our representatives in government. If succeeding generations of pupils and politicians alike inherit only a vague and fuzzy idea of what the Constitution is or says, then we have failed “to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity,” as the Preamble to the Constitution states.

The Old Testament had a great model for keeping both the king and the kids familiar with the law, one we would do well to adopt in America. Even before the Israelites asked for a king to rule over them, God them grave warnings about the future king’s potential to abuse power and commanded a practice for the king to remember that he is under God and law:

"And when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, he shall write for himself in a book a copy of this law, approved by the Levitical priests. And it shall be with him, and he shall read in it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the LORD his God by keeping all the words of this law and these statutes, and doing them, that his heart may not be lifted up above his brothers, and that he may not turn aside from the commandment, either to the right hand or to the left, so that he may continue long in his kingdom, he and his children, in Israel." (Deut. 17:18-20)

Not only was the king supposed to read the law, but he had to write it out in his own hand! Here in America, a similar presidential Constitution-copying tradition might be just the thing we need for a necessary dose of humility under and fidelity to the law.

Yet earlier in the scriptures God emphasized that His law was not primarily for the study of kings, but was to be understood by the people and passed along to succeeding generations.

"These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." (Deut. 6:6-9)

These specific commands immediately followed the greatest commandment: “Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” The Israelites showed their love for God by their obedience to His commands and by teaching that law of love (and love of law) to their posterity.

Kings and presidents, because they are fallible men, will inevitably abuse their power. When they do, both liberty and law are at risk. James Wilson accurately warned about an attack on either:

"Without liberty, law loses its nature and its name, and becomes oppression. Without law, liberty also loses its nature and its name, and becomes licentiousness."

If you love America, then learn her law, the United States Constitution. If you love your freedom, then pass that knowledge of the Constitution along to your leaders and hold them accountable. If you love your children, then pass that knowledge and love along to them so they may enjoy the law and liberty you were given.

Founding Father John Adams wrote these words to you back in 1777:

"Posterity! you will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom! I hope you will make a good use of it. If you do not I shall repent in heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.”

So on this Constitution Day, get to know your Constitution! And then pass it on.

OK...let me get this straight...voicing a truthful opinion, bad...Defrauding the govenment and child prostitution, good?

We knew it was coming, Congressman Joe Wilson was to be taken to the woodshed yesterday . The House did not disappoint. Their most common punishments for members are expulsion, censure, reprimand or fine. But they decided to use a lesser measure, a "resolution of disapproval." Wilson's conduct was cited as a "breach of decorum and degraded the proceedings of the joint session, to the discredit of the House." The vote was, understandably, divided along party lines. I'm not sure if the Democrats have exhausted their outrage, yet. Presumably, they are now ready to get back to business as usual.

Here is an irony. Fox News has been showing a series of video-taped interchanges between Acorn staff members and a filmmaker and associate posing as a pimp and prostitute. Click here to watch one. Here's another. A fourth videotape was shown last night and another is promised for today. The one from last night was outrageous! I have no doubt there will be an ample supply of spin and dissembling from those associated with Acorn. I am confident that the film-makers and their work will be scorned and discredited.

But how can you watch these interviews and not marvel at Acorn staff members' nonchalance, even enthusiasm, while their clients outline a scheme that reeks of debauchery? Where is the shock, where is the outrage? Where is the staff member who warns, "What you are doing is terribly wrong. You need to get your life headed in the right direction."

What a contrast between Acorn staff's casual response to gross immorality and the passionate ado of The House over a two-word breech of decorum. Mind you, I am not making little of House Democrats. Let them enjoy their diversion. But the quickness and intensity of their disapproval serves to highlight its absence at Acorn.

What a sad commentary on our society that many view immoral behavior with casual acceptance, even with a tinge of pride in their enlightened tolerance. The Apostle Paul dealt with something similar in what was the "sin city" of his time, Corinth. A young man was having a brazen affair with his step mom, and those who knew the parties involved were celebrating their enlightenment in accepting this as normal. Paul declared, "It is actually reported that there is immorality among you, and immorality of such a kind as does not exist even among the Gentiles, that someone has his father’s wife. You have become arrogant and have not mourned instead, so that the one who had done this deed would be removed from your midst" (1 Cor. 5:1-2).

One of the litmus tests of the health of our society, and our churches, is our ability to lament sin. If the response of Acorn staffers is a window into the heart of our culture, heaven help us. When Jesus said, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted” (Matt. 5:4), He was talking about being broken-hearted by the things that break God's heart. My heart is broken by what these Acorn interviews say about who we are becoming. God forgive us.

A "Talk" With Senator Richard Lugar's Office

Melissa Lineberry, the Indiana Interim State Coordinator for Campaign For Liberty, had been trying to contact Indiana Senators Richard Lugar and Even Bayh to find out when they would be in state during this last Congressional recess. The main reason for the inquiry was to invite them to attend a Town Hall meeting during the break to see where they stood to vote on several upcoming issues.

Senator Bayh’s office answered promptly in the negative.

“Dear Melissa,
Thank you for your scheduling request. There are no town halls scheduled for the Senator's trip to the state during August recess. The Senator will be traveling around Indiana for his annual Job Fairs, which he does at this time every year.
If you or these constituents would like to meet with a Regional Director to discuss issues or concerns, please let me know. I am happy to contact the correct individual to set up a meeting for you.
Thank you again for your request.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Cherkezian
Deputy Scheduler
Office of Senator Evan Bayh
Phone: 202-224-5623
Fax: 202-228-0655”

A disappointing answer but Senator Bayh was going to be in state and working. He was going to be out and talking to the people.

What about Senator Lugar? The following is from Melissa’s posting about this on campaignforliberty.com

“Lugar's office called me today to tell me that Lugar is not going to be in Indiana at these times so I asked her when will he be in Indiana this month while he is on vacation. She replied he won't be.
She then asked me, what did I want to ask the Senator about and I said voters across the state wanted to know what his votes will be like on a number of different bills and I did not want to speak for everyone and she said so which ones. So I named a few I said Health Care for one and she Said Lugar's vote is no and I said that’s good.
Now here is the sad part, I asked her about Cap and Trade she said she did not know his vote on that and then I asked about the Pass act and she said not sure what I am talking about, I did not remember the bill number. The next one I asked her about was S 604- Audit the fed. She was not aware of that one either she said, I explained it to her and she did not know what I was talking about. I even asked about the Clean Water and restoration Act and she was not aware of this bill either.
I then asked one of my personal questions to the Senator was what authority in the constitution did Mr. Lugar have for these bills. She asked what did I mean, was I asking about the president the president, I said no, congress has enumerated powers and there are very few in the constitution and she was not sure what I meant. I then asked if she did not know these answers it was even more important that the voters of this state get a chance to talk to Mr. Lugar so that we can ask these and other questions and she said he will be out of state at conferences. I said we are his employer and he really needs to talk to us. She said have you wrote him your thoughts, I said yes of course I have.
But when i get an answer back it is the same form letter and does not really answer the questions I have asked and she said oh. She ended the call by saying that she would let Senator Lugar know that I don’t like his letters.
I ended the call by telling her that many of the residents of this state would be calling to extend this invitation and for Mr. Lugar to make time to come to an event and answer some questions before he goes back and votes.”

OK…Is it wrong to be bothered that Senator Lugar will not even deign to be in the state he represents during a time that his constituents are seeking answers and wanting their elected representatives to listen to the concerns they have?

I’m really bothered more with a supposed spokesperson for the Senator’s office having no clue on bills that been so much in the news and before the public eye. That Senator Lugar has no “official” stance in his office on “Cap and Trade” should REALLY bother all Hoosiers as this bill if passed will cripple Indiana industry, dramatically raise our electric bills and in turn raise even higher the cost of living to those than can least afford it.

According to Senator Lugar he will not seek election 2012. I for one believe that given his lack of response to his constituents, now and over the last couple of years, this should have happened in 2006.

OK...what if we just call him a prevaricator?

Did anyone listen to Mark Levin yesterday? Wow! There is no way I can do his opening monologue any justice. What he did say is that the left is going to make every attempt to use the two words uttered by South Carolina Congressman, Joe Wilson – “you lie” – to demonize the right and put up a smoke screen to obstruct the truth. Levin then goes on to tell listeners that our country is being dismantled by Obama and the last thing anyone should be concerned about is what Joe Wilson said.

Mr. Levin also reminded listeners all of the name calling and “vitriol”, as Mr. Obama called it, we on the right have been called since the beginning of the campaign. Here’s a partial list: bitter, angry, white American, gun clinger, Nazi, racist, terrorist, un-American, etc.

Our freedoms are being destroyed and our country, at least the one I learned about in history and grew up appreciating and respecting, is being dismantled by a radical thug who has surrounded himself with other radical thugs, all determined to change America into something I have no interest in being a part of. For that reason I will fight. I don’t care that Joe Wilson yelled out and called Mr. Obama a liar. Mr. Obama did and continues to tell untruths in that, early last month, the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee defeated an amendment which would have excluded illegal aliens from Mr. Obama’s health care bill. The Democrat-dominated committee voted 23-18 to defeat the measure introduced by Rep. Dean Heller (R-NV), which would have required the use of the existing Income and Eligibility Verification System and the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements System before care is dispensed.

In other words, there would be no way to verify the citizenship of those seeking care under Obama’s government plan.

CNN reported last month the Congressional Research Service, the nonpartisan policy research arm of Congress, found that without a citizenship verification system illegal aliens would receive subsidies. Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Washington-based Center for Immigration Studies, told CNN the report “undermines the claims of the president and others that illegal immigrants would not be covered under the House version of the bill.”

“Democrats can keep claiming all they want that illegal immigrants will not be covered in this bill. But their actions speak louder than their words. Democrats have rejected opportunities to close the gaping loopholes in this health care bill that will allow illegal immigrants to participate,” House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Lamar Smith said after the CRS report was released. “If President Obama is committed to ensuring that illegal immigrants do not benefit from the bill – as he says he is – why not include the same verification mechanisms in this bill as already exist for other federal benefits programs?”

In addition, undocumented immigrants who live in the United States for a certain period of time during the year would be classified as residents and would meet the substantial presence test required under HR 3200 to have health insurance, according to the report.

Ms. Pelosi said Rep. Wilson’s outburst during Mr. Obama’s speech shows the “bankruptcy” of Republicans’ ideas on health care, the Washington Post reports.
In fact, it shows how the Democrats in league with the corporate media are attempting to ram Mr. Obama’s totalitarian health care plan down the throat of the American people and stifle opposition.

There is no doubt that the time and place weren’t the best but the left is now using this as a distraction. It’s what they do best. They now have ammunition they can use to draw your attention away from what is really taking place.

Today Thomas Sowell described Obama’s speech before the joint Houses, “a masterpiece of rhetoric and a shameless fraud.” In other words, he’s a liar.

I believe it was also Sowell who said that it is not in the nature of conservatives to be “protesters” and “demonstrators”. Evidently more and more of us conservatives have had enough and it’s time to fight back.

In discussing the stupid heckling incident by Republican representative Joe Wilson of President Obama, Glenn Greenwald discusses what is really crazy - the Media's insistence that questioning the President, ANY President, is crazy:

Eugene Robinson today absurdly calls the GOP's disrespectful behavior at Obama's speech "un-American." Right-wing contempt for Obama is often petty, deeply emotional and ugly -- just like right-wing leaders themselves. But the demand that the President be venerated and treated as royalty is far more "un-American" than disruptive transgressions of etiquette. Wilson's heckling was juvenile and dumb, but that's all it was. If only a fraction of the media dismay devoted to his two-second breach of "decorum" had been directed to, say, rampant presidential lawbreaking, or the implementation of a torture regime, or the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of people in our various wars, we would be much better off.

Glenn goes on to discuss how Politico still thinks it is crazy to question the Bush Administration's statements in the runup to the Iraq Debacle. The reality is, as I have written for years now, the Media is absolutely incompetent on every level. It is not just partisan and biased; it simply fails at its basic mission of holding the government accountable. By now, this is a dog bites man story.

Many have said, even some on the left, that Mr. Obama was angry during his speech. Some have mislabeled that as his passion for what he’s trying to do. Don’t buy it. He’s angry like a brat. He’s not getting his way and there are people daring enough to stand up to him. He’s a liar. Fight back. We aren’t talking small potatoes. We are talking the destruction of our country. What is a Czar?

The following is from the "A Conservative Kid" blog. With the resignation of Anthony "Van" Jones I felt a revisit to this information was warranted. It is brought out clearer than I had time to put together over this last holiday weekend. For a more current view check out Amy L. Geiger-Hemmer's blog from this past Sunday.

For a really good look at the Czar list and who is filling these unconstitutional positions of power, check out this posting over at "The Adventures of Mr. Buff"

What is a Czar, and Why Does Obama Have 16 of Them?

Czar – noun

1. An Emperor or king
2. An Autocratic ruler or leader
3. Any person exercising great authority or power in a particular field

(source dictionary.com)

Before you get worked up over the definition of a Czar, it should be known that we have used them in our history before. Roosevelt was the first president to use Czars in his administration, they were, at the time called Dictators. They were in place to regulate certain parts of commerce, similar to the Obama administration. Nixon used Czars as well but calling them “Dictators” would be a bad political move, so he named them Czars. They have been used by a few presidents since, rarely and in cases of Emergency because of the power they hold.

The power Czars have is the reason they are used. Like the president, they are part of the Executive branch, and do NOT answer to the congress. They are not appointed by congress and go through no vetting process. They can claim executive power if they are asked to testify before congress, and do not have to answer questions to congress, or the American people. Obviously they are not elected officials so the American people have no say in who gets the job, and if they do a poor job, only the President can remove them.

Under the Obama administration, Czar Usage has been taken to a whole new level. In the few months that Obama has been in office he has appointed 16 Czars, they include,

· Energy Czar, Carol Browner
· Border Czar, Alan Berstein
· Pay Czar, Kenneth Feinberg
· Car Czar (Leader of small taskforce), Steve Rattner
· Urban Czar, Adolfo Carrion Jr
· Infotech Czar Vivek Kundra
· Faith Czar, Joshua DuBois
· Health Reforme Czar, Nancy-Ann DeParle
· TARP Czar, Herb Allison
· Stimulus Accountability Czar, Earl Devaney
· Non-Proliferation Czar, Gary Samore
· Terrorism Czar, John Brennan
· Regulatory Czar, Cass Sunstein
· Drug Czar, Gil Kerlikowske
· Guantanamo Closure Czar, Damiel Fried
· Great Lakes Czar, Cameron Davis

Credit to David J Rothkopf for is Article on ForeignPolicy.com for many on the list!

Together this List of Czars oversee Billions of US Tax Dollars and they don’t have to answer to Congress or anyone. Obama doesn’t have to go before Congress to get approval to spend he just appoints another Czar. The Irony behind these Czars, most of them mirror current administrations in our Government. There is a Department of Homeland Security, and Border and Terror Czars, a FDA and a Drug Czar, a Securities and Exchange Committee, and US Treasury, but also Pay Czar, and Regulatory Czar, the list goes on. Why would be the incentive to use Czars over current branches of Government to get the Job done?

That is where Regulation, Power and Control fit into the big picture. The current forms of Administrations all answer to the Congress, they Report to the President but Answer to Congress. They get all their funding from Congress and Congress has the power over them. This has been part of our government’s “checks and balances” for hundreds of years, and is Vital to our Country’s freedom. With this significant entourage of Dictators, oops I mean Czars, the Obama administration gets to exert MORE Executive power over other Agencies of the Government. Who knows how long this List of Czars will get, it seems at this rate Obama will fufil his promise to create 100K jobs this summer by appointing 100K Czars to his Administration.

While many on this list of Czars were appointed more as figureheads to fulfill promises during his campaign, they still oversee Billion of US Tax Dollars and are completely unregulated. For instance the Great Lakes Czar to, “Oversee the Environmental Protection Agency’s efforts to clean up the Great Lakes,” is not really a big deal, I mean they only have 5 Billion to spend (Obama was praised by the Media having a task force appointed to save 100 million from the budget over the course of 90 Days). Some of these Czars oversee Hundreds of Millions of Dollars, and in the example of the Pay Czar, will be pushing for controversial private sector regulations on the Salaries of executives. Regulations like this should be going through Congress and the US Treasury, not a person who answers to “no one except the president”.

If ACORN Can’t Pay Their Taxes, How Can They Pay for Activism?

Pelican Institute for Public Policy, the premier think-tank in Louisiana, uncovered evidence last week that proves that the far-Left activism group, ACORN, and several “closely-related groups” owe more than $1 million in backed state and federal taxes. These findings, validated by Orleans Parish court records, also indicated that the organization “paid off more than $1.1 million in late bills since January of 2008.”

The organization, based in New Orleans, La. and operating in partnership with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), has accounts delinquent since 2004, including one tax bill totaling $545,000. ACORN (Associations of Community Organizations for Reform) and its affiliate companies have outstanding federal tax liabilities of $1 million and four Louisiana tax bills of at least $28,000. In March 2008 alone, nearly $1.2 million in federal tax liens were filed against ACORN and its related groups with only some of them being cleared upon payment.

According to Pelican Institute for Public Policy’s report, Citizens Consulting, the accounting division of ACORN, owed the state of Louisiana more than $300,000 in unpaid taxes as recently as January 2009, the debts of which were paid just a few months ago. The think tank also maintains that ACORN has not paid withholding taxes for the state for “many quarters since the fall of 2002.”

Currently, some, but not all, member organizations of Team ACORN are tax-exempt non-profits, but the Louisiana policy institution asserts that “does not excuse them from paying payroll taxes, both the employer’s share and the amounts withheld from an employee’s check.”

During the course of just four years spanning from 2002 to 2006, ACORN was the beneficiary of more than $5.4 million grants from the U.S. federal government, who channeled funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Even ACORN’s own legal representation admits the “confederation of corporations may lack the internal financial controls to ensure that money granted to one group isn’t shared with another.”

Now, disgruntled former board members of the liberal activism non-profit have joined with ACORN adversaries and Congressional leadership to demand an audit of ACORN and its partners, which would accompany a state probe recently started by the office of the Louisiana Attorney General, Buddy Caldwell.

“ACORN is clearly a partisan organization and their work should be funded by supporters, not taxpayers,” said Pelican Institute president Kevin Kane. “Their failure to pay taxes adds insult to injury. It is time for legislators and regulators to take a closer look at this organization.”

Many Americans might find it hard to comprehend how ACORN would be unable to pay their taxes, especially after they received more than $53 million in federal funds since 1989. This fact alone raises concerns as to the questionable priorities and ethics of a federal government that funnels taxpayer money to sponsor such an overtly-partisan operation.

ACORN, criticized as “radical” and employing “mob-like” tactics, brags that they are “the nation’s largest grassroots movement, with more than 400,000 members in 110 cities.” Important to note: Americans for Prosperity, a free-market grassroots advocacy non-profit, has more than 700,000 members throughout all 50 states. ACORN says that their membership is made up of “low- and moderate-income families, working together for social justice and stronger communities.”

ACORN has been scrutinized for their behavior on the national stage, with repeated allegations of the group conducting voter-registration fraud in 12 states across the country. Pelican Institute for Public Policy asserts that these incidents, facilitated by ACORN’s Project Vote program, “essentially ran a thinly-veiled effort to push Democratic candidates and recruit new dues-paying ACORN members.” While several employees have been arrested for fraud, the organization itself has never been formally charged with committing a crime.

Elizabeth Kingsley, legal counsel for ACORN, admitted in an October 2008 article in the New York Times that it would be impossible to ignore the “tight relationship between Project Vote and ACORN” in documenting that “Project Vote’s money had been used in a strictly nonpartisan manner.” Before the public became aware of this embezzlement scandal, the Project Vote board was staffed with employees and members of ACORN.

“Ms. Kingsley’s report raised concerns not only about a lack of documentation to demonstrate that no charitable money was used for political activities but also about which organization controlled strategic decisions,” Beatty added.

Today, ACORN is spending its time (and money) promoting President Obama’s health care reform agenda, working in cooperation with groups like the SEIU, Organizing for America and moveon.org to hold rallies across the country to express support for his public option plan. Their staff and members pack town halls in every state, sporting ACORN t-shirts and exhibiting aggressive behavior at the events.

Like the SEIU, who faces more than $500 million in debts, ACORN sees financial woes as no obstacle, and instead, focus their efforts in both money and manpower to rally support for President Obama. Nagging tax pains will not distract these liberal activism groups from vocalizing their support for the public option, and embarrassment from public criticism of their behavior do not seem to faze them. Now, they must wait with baited breath for their efforts to elect President Obama to be met with generous reciprocation.

Another Lesson on the Federal Reserve

Not a day goes by without talk of the Federal Reserve, whether by the organization itself or by its opponents. An incessant cheerleader of his organization, Chairman Ben Bernanke will be the first to tell you that the Federal Reserve is an utmost necessity to the smooth operation of the U.S. financial system. Some would disagree. And while ongoing events can be difficult to objectively examine, hindsight is usually much more prescient.

Let's set aside what The Fed says for a moment and examine what it actually does.

* From 1776 to 1912 (136 years), the value of the dollar, relative to the Consumer Price Index, increased by 11%. A dollar could buy 11% more goods in 1912 than in 1776. Thus, if in 1776, you sat on your savings pile of $1,000,000 for 136 years, it would then be worth $1,110,000 in purchasing power (it will have appreciated in value by 11%). A loaf of bread for Thomas Jefferson cost the same as a loaf of bread for Lincoln 50 years later and again the same for J.P. Morgan 50 years after that.

* The United States Federal Reserve System was created in 1913. The stated purpose of the Fed, by the definition taken from its own website, is to "conduct the nation's monetary policy by influencing money and credit conditions in the economy in pursuit of full employment and stable prices." Note that "stable prices" is another way of saying "stable dollar," they are two sides of the same coin (couldn't resist the pun).

* After the Fed's creation, from 1913 to 2008 (95 years), the value of the dollar, relative to the Consumer Price Index, decreased by 95%. A dollar could buy 95% fewer goods in 2008 than in 1913. Thus, if in 1913, you sat on your savings pile of $1,000,000 for 95 years, it would then be worth only $50,000 in purchasing power (it will have depreciated in value by 95%). One would now need to pay about 20X more than J.P. Morgan for one's bread. Ask my mother how much the price of milk has increased just in the last ten years alone.

In other words, the value of the dollar remained extremely stable for 150 years, the Fed was created in order to "stabilize the value of the dollar," and the result has been a 95% devaluation of the dollar in less than 100 years following its creation. Below is a graph of this history, which I've marked with the year 1913 so you can see the change. The graph is also marked with the years of decoupling from the gold standard, as no examination of dollar value would be sound without such mention.

While we all take inflation as a "given" - as something that "just happens" in the economy - this belief is utterly incorrect. Inflation, which is the loss of value in your saved dollars, is caused by the Federal Reserve through its management of the money supply. Next time you see Ben Bernanke on the television telling you that they "will take the necessary steps" to help the country, consider their track record so far, and their dismal failure at their stated objective: preserving the value of America's money.

Yet, American's aren't particularly upset about this, and indeed the vast majority have no idea about any of this. I would wager that this is because Americans are educated in Government schools, which barely teach basic accounting, let alone macroeconomic monetary theory. In public school I was forced to memorize the names of every country in Africa, yet there was never a discussion of the nature of money. Half the nations of Africa have been renamed since, but the economic principles which cause such political turmoil remain the same.

The Federal Reserve System is fraudulent. Whatever its stated purpose, its effect is to create a hidden mechanism of deficit spending by politicians, through the insidious invisible taxation of monetary debasement (inflation). With printed money, the Government can buy services for its voters before the effects of inflation are felt. The voters money buys less the following year, as the new money has raised prices, and they are often none the wiser.

Mr. Obama is now mandating that the Fed is to have more oversight, more authority and control over the markets of the United States. If we can learn anything from the Fed, it's that the best way to succeed as a politician is to stretch one's failure over a long enough period that people won't remember it.

The following 7-minute video is one of the best I've ever seen in economics. It begins with Federal Reserve Chair Ben Bernanke threatening an economic crash if Congress audits the Fed, moves to revelaing headlines of financial corporate profits after taxpayers socialized their gambling losses, then closes with Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner telling Congress that TARP is really a pertetual line of $700 billion credit for him to do with as he pleases as long as Bernanke agrees. That means, if Treasury can sell the troubled assets, that money returns to Geithner's private reserve to buy more assets. As you may know, Harvard's Elizabeth Warren, the chair for the Oversight Panel, reported to the Senate that Treasury is over-paying corporations by about 50%. That's a gift from us, the taxpayers, to the gambling-addicted plutocrats of $82 BILLION.

What to do about this? Here's Gandhi's take early in his work, in 1903 working for equal rights in South Africa at age 34:

"One thing we have endeavoured to observe most scrupulously, namely, never to depart from the strictest facts and, in dealing with the difficult questions that have arisen during the year, we hope that we have used the utmost moderation possible under the circumstances. Our duty is very simple and plain. We want to serve the community, and in our own humble way to serve the Empire. We believe in the righteousness of the cause, which it is our privilege to espouse. We have an abiding faith in the mercy of the Almighty God, and we have firm faith in the British Constitution. That being so, we should fail in our duty if we wrote anything with a view to hurt. Facts we would always place before our readers, whether they are palatable or not, and it is by placing them constantly before the public in their nakedness that the misunderstanding between the two communities in South Africa can be removed." Indian Opinion (1 October 1903)

I remind you that American colonists petitioned the British government at first, hoping that they would respond by giving Americans equal protection under the law. It was these trials that created the character of our most cherished Americans. It seems that our current choices of action are at least to adhere to the facts, engage in some kind of demonstration/petition/public conversation, and be emotionally and mentally prepared for some form of revolution. I would prefer the easier path that the US government acts in service of the public good rather than an oligarchy. However, at the cost of our collective TRILLIONS of dollars, at the cost of over a million dead and multiple millions in horrific suffering from our imperialistic Wars of Aggression, at the cost of a million children dying every month from preventable poverty and multiple millions more in agony because the US refuses to fund programs like the UN Millennium Goals at more than a token - even programs that generate profit like Microcredit), if we want a brighter future we need a breakthrough beyond what we've done to date.

As always, share this information with whoever considers themselves competent citizens.

ObamaCare … the MS Vista of Government Programs

I think the main problem the left is having with ObamaCare is that they have treated it like an ad campaign, seeing the bill as a product to sell to the public. But they have not addressed the fundamental problems with the product they are trying to sell.

ObamaCare is the Microsoft Vista of government programs. The government is claiming it will solve all your problems and make your life perfect forever. But consumers see it as just another bloated program that will screw up everything that’s working fine right now.

The Government is also like Microsoft in that it’s become so pervasive, you can’t get away from it. Also like Microsoft, because of their exposure to the product, the public is broadly aware of its flaws. And both Microsoft and the Government are noted for Bloatware and indifference to the buying public.

The left are ill-equipped to handle this particular marketing campaign, because the Democrats have been lying and using euphemisms for so long, it’s left them with zero public trust that their words mean anything.

They no longer talk about “Taxing and Spending,” they talk about “Revenues and Investment,” which sounds so much more businesslike. But since the TARP bailout and the Spendulus, people have figured out that Revenues really are taxes, and Investments really mean pork.

The “Net Spending Cut” Obama promised during the campaign has turned into a massive increase in Federal spending, with $10 Trillion in deficits projected in the next ten years.

During the campaign, Obama denied that his soft-on-terrorist position would lead to terrorists receiving Miranda rights on the battlefield. Guess what? Terrorists are receiving Miranda Rights on the battlefield.

So, when the left tries to claim that the “Health Choices Commission,” isn’t a Death Panel, and its purpose isn’t to deny them treatment, people have had enough of the Orwellian Newspeak that they, wisely, choose not to trust them. Especially when the left’s propositions are counter-intuitive. If the purpose of “End of Life Counseling” in the bill isn’t to reduce costs by encouraging the sick and the elderly to Kevorkian themselves, then why is it in the bill? “Because it’s compassionate,” the left says, and no one believes them any more.

Just like no one believes them when they say the health care scheme won’t explode the deficit.

Just like no one believes them when they say “if you like your health care, you (probably) get to keep it.”

No matter how slick the ad campaign, people won’t buy your product if its no good.

Let’s just call it VistaCare.

Small Child Made to Pray for Socialism at Teddy's Funeral

You never want a funeral to go to waste, as Rahm Emanuel might say.

From the mouths of babes comes contrived BULL. With all the screaming and crying by the Dems on how the protests against the health care legislation is being staged, they have the gall to stage this travesty? Yes...Senator Kennedy was one of the lead proponents for health care but this? This even sinks below what even he might have staged.
