Nancy Pelosi just unveiled Plan B. If she can't strong-arm the votes she so desperately needs to shove ObamaCare down your throat, she's going to simply "deem" the Senate version of ObamaCare passed in the House of Representatives without actually voting on it. House Minority Leader John Boehner called this latest development a "controversial trick." Rep. Thaddeus McCotter used the phrases "acme of arrogance" and "shredding the U.S. Constitution" to describe what is going on right now. But even Boehner's and McCotter's descriptions might be gross understatements. Think about it... why stop at allowing radical leftists in Congress to "deem" that laws have passed without votes? Why not disband the Senate and the House of Representatives altogether and allow Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to simply invoke laws the American people oppose by direct declaration? As I wrote in this blog yesterday I believe that myself and the American people have been lied to by both Mr. Obama and our elected federal officials. I'm tired of being lied to by scheming, busybody politicians. President Obama and the Democrats, our own Indiana 2nd district Representative Joe Donnelly included, promised there would be NO new taxes on the middle class. But everywhere I look I see middle class tax increases. To be fair to Congressman Donnelly he was allowed to vote against H.R. 2454, (i.e. The Cap & Trade bill) and I voiced my appreciation for that at the time . The Wall Street Journal this morning called the Pelosi bill “ The Worst Bill Ever ,” with a subheadline “Epic new spending and taxes, pricier insurance, rationed care, dishonest accounting: The Pelosi health bill has it all.” And this is reflected in Rasmussen’s poll. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi introduced the House version of health care reform legislation last week, but most voters are still opposed to the effort. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 42% now favor the health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. That’s down from 45% a week ago but unchanged from two weeks ago. Fifty-four percent (54%) now oppose the legislative effort, up three points since last week. Seventy-three percent (73%) of liberals support the plan, but just 18% of conservatives agree. Only 23% of all voters Strongly Support the plan while nearly twice as man (44%) are Strongly Opposed.
