8: A Final Word — Wonder That Leads to Worship
The study of origins is never merely academic. Every star, every creature, every fossil, and every human face declares the glory of God (Psalm 19:1; Romans 1:20). When we accept Scripture’s account, the natural world becomes a theater of God’s power, wisdom, and goodness rather than a closed system of chance. Wonder properly directed becomes worship.
The same God who spoke light into darkness, formed man from dust, judged the world by water, and preserved a remnant is the God who sent His Son to bear the curse and rise again. Creation and redemption are the work of one Lord. To compromise the first chapters of Genesis is to weaken the foundation on which the gospel rests. To hold them firmly is to stand with Jesus, Paul, and the prophets.
Let the series end where it must: on our knees. The Creator is worthy of praise not only for what He has made but for who He is. He is patient, not willing that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9), yet He will judge the world in righteousness. Our response is faith in the last Adam, obedience to His Word, and joyful testimony to a watching world.
Call to action: Set aside time this week to read Psalm 104 or Job 38–41 aloud. Then write one sentence of praise that connects something you see in creation to the character of God, and share it with another believer.
